Grilled Pizza
I made my own dough, recipe here in my blog. I then baked it in the oven for about 8 minutes because I was worried about just throwing it on the grill. We went went out, put it on the grill. Added our toppings and let it cook on low on the grill. It tasted just like regular pizza to us, except with a crispy crust. For us living in an apartment it's a hassle to go out to grill.
Pizza with Stuffed Crust
For the crust, I used Trader Joe's crust because I had one in the freezer to use, but next time I will make homemade. I used string cheese and cut it into 4ths and then laid around the outside edge then rolled the dough around it. I prebaked the crust for about 8 minutes. Then added toppings then finish the baking process.

**This recipe yields enough sauce for two large pizzas.
- 15 oz. tomato sauce
- 2 Tablespoons parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powde
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
Combine all ingredients.
Fruit Pizza
Fruit Pizza (From:Myself)

- 2 tubes of sugar cookie dough
- 2 pkg. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 lemon (you could use vanilla extract)
- strawberries
- blueberries
Spread the cookie dough in pan. I used 2 tubes because I used a large cookie sheet, but you could use a round pizza pan to do it. Bake as directed on package. Let cool
Mix cream cheese, sugar, a little lemon juice (I used almost the whole lemon) and some lemon zest.Spread across the cookie then top with fresh fruit of your choice.
Pizza
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and brown sugar in the water, and let sit for 10 minutes.
Stir the salt and oil into the yeast solution. Mix in 2 1/2 cups of the flour.
Turn dough out onto a clean, well floured surface, and knead in more flour until the dough is no longer sticky. Place the dough into a well oiled bowl, and cover with a cloth. Let the dough rise until double; this should take about 1 hour.
Punch down the dough, and form a tight ball. Allow the dough to relax for a minute before rolling out.
Use for your favorite pizza recipe.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). If you are baking the dough on a pizza stone, you may place your toppings on the dough, and bake immediately. If you are baking your pizza in a pan, lightly oil the pan, and let the dough rise for 15 or 20 minutes before topping and baking it.
Bake pizza in preheated oven, until the cheese and crust are golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes.
*** I prebaked our crust about 5 minutes then added topping and baked until done. I put a few seasoning on the crust before adding toppings. And added a little bit of shredded Parmesan to the outer crust after adding toppings.
