Stuffed Shells

We went over to Wisconsin to see some family on Saturday. There is a really cool Amish bulk store on the way over. I talked my mom into stopping. I got a bunch of pasta it's cheap and big bags, and not all broken. I bought a bag of large shells. I was so excited to try them again, I made shells a few months back but they were so broken when I took them out of the box they didn't turn out too well. These were GREAT!

Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Shells (From: My own recipe)

  • Large Shells I made about 24
  • 12 oz cottage cheese
  • 1 pkg frozen spinach
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. pasta sprinkle
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 c. mozzarella cheese
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce

Preheat oven to 350.

Boil noodles to just about al-dente. Rinse in a cold water bath.

Meanwhile while the noodles are boiling, mix the rest of the ingredients but the sauce together in a bowl.

Spread half of spaghetti sauce across the bottom of a 9x13 pan.

Stuff the shells, then place open side up in pan. Pour the rest of the sauce over the noodles, and top with a little shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake for 20-25 minutes.
